Stacey Beyer is a passionate educator with a Master’s degree in Early Childhood and Childhood Education from Nazareth College, and an Advanced Certification in Applied Behavior Analysis from The University of Rochester.
Stacey has spent the entirety of her career as a Special Education Teacher and Behavior Specialist in the Pittsford Central School District in Pittsford, NY. During the summer months, she provides behavior support for her district’s Extended School Year program working with students in grades K-12. She has experience working with students with a wide range of needs and disabilities, from Autism Spectrum Disorder, Anxiety, and ADHD, to Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder, Traumatic Brain Injuries, Selective Mutism, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Downs Syndrome, and Speech and Language Impairments. As a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), Stacey has extensive experience in treating challenging behaviors and finds nothing more rewarding than seeing her students overcome challenges. Stacey utilizes the Social Thinking Curriculum by Michelle Garcia Winner, as well as her certification as a PEERS social skills trainer from UCLA for direct social skill instruction.
In her free time, Stacey enjoys a variety of activities such as running, tennis, skiing, cooking, reading, shopping, and spending time on the beautiful water of Lake Ontario with her family and friends.
