Annie Quest, B.A.

Social-Emotional Learning Coach/Tutor

Annie Quest has over thirty years of experience teaching Social Emotional Learning.

While working at The Greenwood School, a private middle and high school for students diagnosed with ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder and other learning differences, Annie developed the Social Emotional Learning curriculum and steered its evolution for three decades.

In addition, she has maintained a private regional SEL practice during this time. A warm, empathetic teacher, Annie uses her deep experience and command of a broad array of current SEL practices to effect significant improvement in the social skills of her students.

Annie is a PEERS® certified professional who has received specific Social Skills and Executive Functioning training over the past 30 years with an array of experts in the field, including Michelle Garcia Winner (Social Thinking Methodology), Pamela Crooke, Rick Lavoie, Dr. Fred Volkmar, and Sarah Ward. Now retired from the Greenwood School, Annie joins the FA team as a social skills coach where she is changing the lives of the children, adolescents, and young adults with whom she works.

In addition to spending time with her husband, Matt, and her daughter, son-in-law, and two beautiful grandchildren, Annie dedicates time to her artwork, particularly her love of painting.

Read what our clients have to say about working with Annie

I want to write few words about our experience with Annie. My son started working with Annie roughly four months ago. She made him trust her from the first session, and this was critical for any chance of success. With patience and kindness, she guides him to understand areas that need more attention, teaches him step by step how to deal with everyday social or emotional issues. I am impressed how well she understands him, of her thorough notes that keep track of things he said, or struggled with, and of the way she plans carefully what needs to be addressed. I love it that she circles back on a regular basis, helping him to develop new good habits, routines.

One other amazing thing about this program is the close interaction I have with Annie. This way I can share my ongoing observations, so that my son’s sessions are truly individualized and based on his input, and also on observation. She has been for me a great source of education on my son’s condition and much needed support. Somehow, I feel I am doing a better mom job, certainly with less anxiety. She showed so much empathy, flexibility, made everything possible to meet our needs.

I feel so grateful to have this wonderful support in our life. And I thank you for sending Annie our way!
