Our Mission

At Frankenberger Associates, our mission is to empower individuals of all ages with the tools, strategies, and confidence they need to thrive—academically, socially, emotionally, and professionally. We are committed to delivering highly personalized, strengths-based support through expert coaching, assessment, and collaboration. By meeting each client where they are and honoring their unique learning profile, we help turn challenges into growth and potential into progress.

Our Story: A Legacy of Empowerment

Frankenberger Associates was founded in 1987 by Caryl Frankenberger, a passionate psychoeducational diagnostician who wanted to understand and support students with learning differences. What began as a small practice focused on diagnosing learning challenges quickly became more comprehensive.

As Caryl worked with families, she recognized their struggles beyond just diagnosis. She realized that these families truly needed personalized, practical solutions to empower their children. This insight led to the expansion of Frankenberger Associates into a full-fledged Learning Solutions Center.

Our deeply individualized approach has positively impacted thousands of students and their families, fostering academic and social success. We remain committed to our founding principle: ensuring every student has the tools they need to succeed in the classroom and beyond.

Our Approach: Turning Challenges into Strengths

At Frankenberger Associates, we specialize in personalized support for children, teens, and adults navigating executive function challenges, learning differences, ADHD, and social-emotional needs. Our approach is rooted in customization—because meaningful progress starts with understanding the individual. Every client receives a plan tailored to their learning profile, strengths, challenges, and real-world goals. We combine evidence-based strategies with practical coaching to strengthen skills like attention, task initiation, time management, organization, emotional regulation, and social communication. Whether it’s a student struggling to stay on top of schoolwork or an adult seeking a career change or greater structure and focus in daily life, we’re here to help clients build confidence, independence, and long-term success.

Trusted by Genius People

Frankenberger Associates has had the privilege of helping thousands of families, schools, and students transform their learning experience.

My student, while a relatively new client of Frankenberger Associates, is already finding work with his coach to be helpful and effective.

This course was exactly what I needed to feel more confident in my role as Director of Academic Support. The modules were comprehensive and practical with supporting materials to reinforce the topics. The fact that I can continue to access the videos and readings upon completing the course has been a fantastic resource for me. All educators would benefit from this course.

I wish I found this Social Skills program earlier, but my son and I are both so grateful to be here now. Everyone at Frankenberger Associates has been completely amazing! Their process of utilizing real life actionable teaching has been life changing. There truly is nothing more rewarding than seeing your child “understand” the value of friendships and having the tools to help him utilize them in real tangible step by step guides. I would highly recommend them to anyone!

Eagle Hill School and I personally have worked with Frankenberger Associates for over twenty years, and I have enjoyed and benefited greatly from our incredibly long and strong relationship. Caryl Frankenberger is a trusted and knowledgeable colleague and friend. Many years ago, Caryl gave a presentation to the EHS faculty on cognitive testing, and to this day, I am grateful to Caryl for this presentation. I have worked with Caryl and have likely read more than 100 of her evaluations in considering her clients for EHS. Caryl’s evaluations are well-written and help the reader to get...

The organized and thoughtful approach to Tailored Academic Tutoring through Executive Function Coaching at Frankenberger Associates has truly transformed my son’s academic performance. As a parent, I appreciate how they have built trust with me through open communication and with my son who feels supported and confident under their guidance.

I'm so glad I took the Understanding Diverse Learning Profiles course. It introduced some ideas that were new to me, and also brought clarity and cohesion to ideas that I had picked up along the way, but didn’t have a context for. I gained greater fluency in the concepts and terminology that my colleagues in learning support use routinely, so I’m now better prepared to engage in meaningful conversation with them about how our school supports students. The readings and videos were varied and thought-provoking, and the regular meetings with the cohort and the instructors were helpful, motivating, and fun! The...

Understanding Diverse Learning Profiles is a wonderful study of student learning profiles, misconceptions, types of assessments to determine how students learn, reading psychoeducational testing reports, and classroom supports. It is a course that brings together the needs and perspectives of the admission team, classroom educators, and learning support professionals to create a stronger student success model. As a veteran admission professional, it provided me with insight to better understand the needs of our applicants and students. I am much more confident in my ability to read and understand testing reports and how a learning profile may present in the classroom....

I cannot speak more highly of their programming. I am both a mental health professional and mom of an ASD kiddo. It is expensive, but it is money well spent. Additionally, the overall cost is comparable to what you would spend in an average market for a therapist who does private pay. We are hoping to continue on with their services after our 14-week program is over. As a mom, I highly recommend this because of the growth I’ve seen in my son and the tools I’ve gained. As a professional, I have no qualms about referring folks to them.

The workshops that Frankenberger Associates have provided to our entire faculty and individual teachers has strengthened the professional skills and knowledge of the educators at Woodhall. Connecting theory and practice with an appealing mix of lucidity and common sense, Caryl and her colleagues engaged with our school community in a way that is accessible and applicable.

Matthew Woodhall, Head of School, Woodhall School

I loved this course and wish everyone at Middlebridge could take it. For folks entering into the profession or looking to have an update on learning challenges the videos and supplementary readings were on point. I loved the processing speed and working memory videos as so often people do not realize how this impacts the learner. The EF video was excellent and tangible as was the strategies for teachers. It is very rare when you have PD with actual strategies offered. I loved the evaluation section, and the questions to be posed by admissions professionals and teachers in the classroom...
