Social Learning Coaching

Helping Build Friendships, Confidence, and Connection.

When social situations feel confusing, stressful, or out of reach, the effects can affect school, family life, work, and the ability to feel connected and included.

Frankenberger Associates provides individualized Social Learning Coaching that helps children, adolescents, and young adults understand social situations, communicate with greater confidence, and build meaningful relationships.

Even capable people can feel lost in the social world

Families may see a child, adolescent, or young adult who wants connection but is not sure how to find it or how to sustain it once it begins.

  • Wants friends, but does not know how to begin or keep a friendship going
  • Struggles to join conversations or keep a back-and-forth exchange going
  • Has difficulty handling teasing, rejection, conflict, or changes in plans
  • Misses body language, tone of voice, or the unspoken rules of a group
  • Feels anxious, left out, or unsure in social situations
  • Needs support navigating texting, dating, school, work, or community life

These challenges are not a lack of caring or effort. Individualized coaching and practice can build skills that support confidence, belonging, and greater independence.

Support That Meets Each Stage of Social Development

Coaching is individualized for children, adolescents, and young adults whose social challenges have always been present, or have become more noticeable as expectations have grown.

Not just talking about social skills

Learn it.
Try it.
Use it in real life.

Social Skills Grow Through Active Practice

Social Learning Coaching is an active skill-building process, not simply a conversation about what someone should do differently.

Through guided practice, role-playing, video clips, problem-solving, and meaningful feedback, participants rehearse new skills in a supportive setting.

Individualized assignments then help each participant apply those skills where they matter most: at school, in the community, at work, and in everyday interactions.

Four Connected Areas. One Goal: More Confident Connection.

Coaching focuses on the social, emotional, and communication skills that help relationships take shape and grow.

Communication

Starting and sustaining conversations, active listening, reciprocal exchange, and confident digital communication.

Social Awareness

Reading the room, understanding social cues, perspective taking, flexible thinking, and social problem-solving.

Friendships & Relationships

Making and keeping friends, setting healthy boundaries, navigating dating, and responding to teasing, exclusion, or conflict.

Social Confidence & Independence

Managing social anxiety and emotions, recovering from setbacks, developing healthy habits, and participating more independently.

A Personalized Journey From Insight to Everyday Confidence

Each step connects coaching to the participant’s goals, experiences, and real social world.

Why Social Learning Matters

Connection Changes How People Participate in Life

Social learning skills shape the ability to build friendships, communicate effectively, understand different perspectives, navigate conflict, and form relationships that bring belonging, happiness, and love.

When these skills need more support to develop, even bright and capable people can struggle to connect and participate fully at school, at work, and in the community.

The goal is bigger than learning social skills. It is helping each participant feel more confident, connected, understood, and capable.

I cannot speak more highly of their programming. I am both a mental health professional and mom of an ASD kiddo. It is expensive, but it is money well spent. Additionally, the overall cost is comparable to what you would spend in an average market for a therapist who does…
