About Stacey

Stacey Scardino is a passionate educator with a Master’s degree in Early Childhood and Childhood Education from Nazareth College, and an Advanced Certification in Applied Behavior Analysis from The University of Rochester.

Stacey has spent the entirety of her career as a Special Education Teacher and Behavior Specialist in the Pittsford Central School District in Pittsford, NY. She has experience working with students in grades K-12 with a wide range of needs and disabilities, from Autism Spectrum Disorder, Anxiety, and ADHD, to Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder, Traumatic Brain Injuries, Selective Mutism, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Downs Syndrome, and Speech and Language Impairments. As a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), Stacey has extensive experience in treating challenging behaviors and finds nothing more rewarding than seeing her students overcome challenges. Stacey utilizes the Social Thinking Curriculum by Michelle Garcia Winner and her certification as a PEERS social skills trainer from UCLA for direct social skill instruction along with a variety of other research-based methods.

In her free time, Stacey enjoys a variety of activities such as running, tennis, skiing, cooking and baking, reading, shopping, and spending time on the beautiful water of Lake Ontario with her family and friends.

Stacey’s coaching was everything my daughter and I had hoped for when signing up for services with Frankenberger Associates! We especially appreciated her warm, encouraging personality, and my daughter always felt inspired and eager to apply what she learned after her sessions with Stacey because of Stacey’s knowledge, positivity, and encouragement. As a parent, I also appreciated Stacey’s ability to recall details of previous conversations, as well as her ability to clearly articulate exactly what my daughter was learning at any given time through the program and how she was progressing, and her interest in making sure that she was incorporating plenty of practice with specific skills that my daughter and I viewed as priorities helped the sessions be appropriately tailored to my daughter’s specific needs. Both my daughter and I will miss working with Stacey, but we are thrilled with my daughter’s progress and are confident that the many skills she learned and improved upon in this program will serve her well for the rest of her life!
