
Social Learning Coach
Dr. Kaitlin Thomas, Ed.D. is a Social Learning Coach at Frankenberger Associates who is passionate about helping children, adolescents and young adults develop the social, emotional, and executive functioning skills needed to thrive. With over a decade of experience in education, Dr. Thomas brings a strengths-based, individualized approach to supporting neurodiverse learners and their families.
She earned her Doctor of Education in Special Education and is dually certified in General Education (K–5) and Special Education (Adapted Curriculum P–12). Throughout her career, she has worked with students with autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, and a variety of developmental and behavioral needs in both school and community settings.
In addition to her work at Frankenberger Associates, Dr. Thomas serves as a university instructor, preparing future special educators. Her doctoral research focused on transition planning and vocational training for autistic students, reflecting her commitment to improving long-term outcomes and fostering independence across the lifespan.
Dr. Thomas believes that every child has unique strengths and the ability to grow when provided with the right support. She is dedicated to creating meaningful relationships with children and families while helping students build confidence, develop lasting social connections, and achieve success in school, at home, and in their communities.
Outside of work, Dr. Thomas enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and staying current on evidence-based practices that empower neurodiverse individuals and those who support them.
