About Amanda

Dr. Amanda Ebel brings over 25 years of experience in education, with a passion for helping students develop the skills and confidence they need to succeed. Throughout her career, she has served as a classroom teacher, assistant principal, principal, and Executive Director of South Carolina Connections Academy, a K–12 virtual school. These experiences have given Amanda a deep understanding of the challenges students face and the individualized support they need to thrive academically and beyond.

Amanda earned her Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Leading and Learning in Organizations from Vanderbilt University’s Peabody College, her Master of Education (M.Ed.) from UCLA’s Principal Leadership Institute, and her Bachelor of Science in Education (B.S.Ed.) in English Education from the University of Georgia. Her leadership in education was recognized in 2016 when she received the United States Distance Learning Association’s Outstanding Leadership by an Individual in the Field of Distance Learning award. She also served as Director of Leadership Development at Pearson from 2019 to 2022.

Since 2022, Amanda has focused on working directly with students to strengthen their executive function skills, build independence, and prepare for success in college, careers, and everyday life. She enjoys helping students identify their strengths, navigate challenges, and develop practical strategies that support long-term growth. In addition to her coaching work, Amanda provides executive function-focused professional development to schools nationwide, helping educators create learning environments that better support students’ needs.

Amanda lives in Greenville, South Carolina, with her husband and their cat, Betty White. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, traveling, cooking, and discovering great food. During the fall, you’ll often find her watching college football, and she especially enjoys spending time with her daughter, who attends the University of South Carolina.
