The organized and thoughtful approach to Tailored Academic Tutoring through Executive Function Coaching at Frankenberger Associates has truly transformed my son’s academic performance. As a parent, I appreciate how they have built trust with me through open communication and with my son who feels supported and confident under their guidance.
I wish I found this Social Skills program earlier, but my son and I are both so grateful to be here now. Everyone at Frankenberger Associates has been completely amazing! Their process of utilizing real life actionable teaching has been life changing. There truly is nothing more rewarding than seeing your child “understand” the value of friendships and having the tools to help him utilize them in real tangible step by step guides. I would highly recommend them to anyone!
My daughter has struggled socially her entire life. The PEERS program offered at Frankenberger Associates has enabled her to grow not only her social competency skills but also her self confidence and self worth. She had attended social skill groups throughout her entire educational career and a few other private groups and really developed a distaste for them. She was reticent to attend PEERS due past group experiences, but literally after the initial session, was excited to go back and play an active role in growing her skills. The wonderful staff at Frankenberger Associates related to her in a practical, useful way that enabled my daughter to truly invest in the skills being taught and carry over to her life. I can't stress enough how valuable this program was for her. I highly recommend Frankenberger Associates to anyone with a child struggling to figure out their social world.
My son had a wonderful experience with Frankenberger Associates. The work with Ted was life changing. Not only did he experience improvement around ADD symptoms, the process seemed to make him more relaxed about other areas of his life as well. I saw a kind of personal growth spurt in the 6 months following the work. I was most impressed by the way Ted stuck with the process and my son through thick and thin. It really made a difference in the outcome. Ted is a talented teacher and counselor.
Understanding Diverse Learning Profiles is a wonderful study of student learning profiles, misconceptions, types of assessments to determine how students learn, reading psychoeducational testing reports, and classroom supports. It is a course that brings together the needs and perspectives of the admission team, classroom educators, and learning support professionals to create a stronger student success model. As a veteran admission professional, it provided me with insight to better understand the needs of our applicants and students. I am much more confident in my ability to read and understand testing reports and how a learning profile may present in the classroom. Caryl Frankenberger and her team were supportive throughout the course and answered questions, especially as our cohort really dug into content to help us better understand a full range of learning profiles. The course materials and notes are something I will actively use each and every admission cycle! It is well worth the time and effort. I hope to be able to share this course with our faculty and staff.
I can not say enough positive things about Frankenberger Associates, specifically Erica H. Our college age child turned to us for support in the social skills area. An area that honestly all of us could use some training.. The life skills and executive functioning skill set that are being worked on are paramount to success in life.. These basic fundamental skills are not easy for all and Erica has the compassion, patience and knowledge to help our child to help themselves and navigate this important time in their life. This is work is ongoing and we are very happy with the progress and the connection our child has made with Erica.. 5/5 recommend
I cannot speak more highly of their programming. I am both a mental health professional and mom of an ASD kiddo. It is expensive, but it is money well spent. Additionally, the overall cost is comparable to what you would spend in an average market for a therapist who does private pay. We are hoping to continue on with their services after our 14-week program is over. As a mom, I highly recommend this because of the growth I’ve seen in my son and the tools I’ve gained. As a professional, I have no qualms about referring folks to them.
I'm so glad I took the Understanding Diverse Learning Profiles course. It introduced some ideas that were new to me, and also brought clarity and cohesion to ideas that I had picked up along the way, but didn’t have a context for. I gained greater fluency in the concepts and terminology that my colleagues in learning support use routinely, so I’m now better prepared to engage in meaningful conversation with them about how our school supports students. The readings and videos were varied and thought-provoking, and the regular meetings with the cohort and the instructors were helpful, motivating, and fun! The instructors are true experts, and skilled in conveying their expertise to others. It was especially helpful to have such a thorough and clear introduction to evaluations and reports. I’m now prepared to navigate a range of evaluation reports and gain insights into the student I’m getting to know. The reports now represent a jumping-off point, since I know the best next questions to ask to get an even clearer understanding of the child in front of me. The course was so well-constructed and touched on so many relevant topics, I found that by learning about brains that function somewhat differently than may be expected, I learned about all the development of all brains. I have clearer, more specific things to say about kindergarten readiness, for example, when I talk with prospective families. Though it wasn’t specifically part of the course, it’s part of my work that’s been inspired and enriched by the course.
Frankenberger Associates truly understands the way children interact in the real world. This gives them a unique ability to help children for whom social interactions are difficult. In less than one year of weekly sessions, my child has gained a wealth of knowledge about social skills and behavior and new insight into his own and his peers' situations. He has learned, among many things, to "read a room," to slip in and out of conversation easily, how to ask questions and keep a conversation moving along, how to advocate for himself with others, and how to make and keep friends. The best part is that he has learned this without having to put on an act or mask his true self - instead, he can relax and be his true self because he knows how to interact with other people in various ways. His therapist has helped him to feel confident about who he is and how he exists in the world. It has absolutely been worth it for us.
I loved this course and wish everyone at Middlebridge could take it. For folks entering into the profession or looking to have an update on learning challenges, the videos and supplementary readings were on point. I loved the processing speed and working memory videos as so often people do not realize how this impacts the learner. The EF video was excellent and tangible as was the strategies for teachers. It is very rare when you have a PD with actual strategies offered. I loved the evaluation section and questions to be posed by admissions professionals and teachers in the classroom were 100% helpful. I sincerely loved this course.
It is with deep gratitude that I give Frankenberger Associates my highest recommendation. When my bright, conscientious children who love to learn found themselves silently struggling in school, Caryl brought clarity to their learning profiles. Caryl’s evaluations were comprehensive and her explanations directly to my children gave them ownership of their strengths and struggles as learners. Caryl’s reports allowed their schools to provide specific accommodations that helped immediately. Then her team worked with my kids to learn specific strategies to tackle school assignments. I was fascinated to watch as they developed plans that were as unique as my kids. The most inspiring part was watching my teens implement these strategies and continue to thrive long past their work with Caryl’s team. This work has changed their lives as learners. It has increased their confidence, self-awareness and compassion for their classmates, and it has fostered resilience and resourcefulness. We can not overstate our appreciation.
Christina connected with my daughter right away and made her feel both comfortable and understood. She has a calm and steady demeanor that increased the impact and effectiveness of the curriculum. Christina is also responsive to my daughter’s questions outside of their set meeting times. Overall, a very positive experience
This 6-module online certificate course is the best training I have ever participated in. As an IEC who provides high school and college consulting for students who have specific learning, cognitive and/or developmental challenges, the course deepened my understanding of learning challenges, and my ability to read and interpret evaluations. I developed new questioning techniques to discern my students' learning strengths, average abilities, and challenges. I watched videos and read the supplemental articles on my own timeline, there was no pressure. Quite simply, this course was a game changer for me and I think it will be the same for other IEC’s, admissions professionals, teachers, parents and lifelong learners.
Stacey is a true professional - she has expertise in Executive Functioning, as well as compassion, sensitivity and flexibility in the support she designed and carried out, to help my young adult navigate the many distractions and demands of living on her own, without becoming overwhelmed. I would absolutely recommend her!
This course was exactly what I needed to feel more confident in my role as Director of Academic Support. The modules were comprehensive and practical with supporting materials to reinforce the topics. The fact that I can continue to access the videos and readings upon completing the course has been a fantastic resource for me. All educators would benefit from this course.
My son started working with Brittany roughly four months ago. She made him trust her from the first session, and this was critical for any chance of success. With patience and kindness, she guides him to understand areas that need more attention, teaches him step by step how to deal with everyday social or emotional issues. I am impressed how well she understands him, of her thorough notes that keep track of things he said, or struggled with, and of the way she plans carefully what needs to be addressed. I love it that she circles back on a regular basis, helping him to develop new good habits, routines. One other amazing thing about this program is the close interaction I have with Brittany. This way I can share my ongoing observations, so that my son’s sessions are truly individualized and based on his input, and also on observation. She has been for me a great source of education on my son’s condition and much needed support. Somehow, I feel I am doing a better mom job, certainly with less anxiety. She showed so much empathy, flexibility, made everything possible to meet our needs. I feel so grateful to have this wonderful support in our life. And I thank you for sending Brittany our way!
Ted Backes has an inspirational way of working with students. He effortlessly exudes positivity while setting the stage for an expectation of work ethic. As a result, his students gain invaluable self-confidence while putting forth maximum effort. The results are evident both objectively and subjectively. There are very few educators as solid as Ted Backes. Caryl Frankenberger combines astute competence with an underlying warmth that leads parents and students to feel they are in the right hands. She consistently goes the extra mile and brings a level head to the playing field which is greatly needed when families are dealing with difficult decisions. Thank you Caryl for making such a huge difference in my son’s life!

For seven years, Caryl has been our life raft as we navigated the murky waters of special education to find the best opportunities for our daughter. Caryl’s guidance and expertise has always proved invaluable; from testing to tutoring, technology tools to educational programs. However, the most remarkable way in which she stands apart from others in her field is in fact, the simplest to discern: Caryl recognizes our daughter’s strengths as keenly as her struggles and she has always made happiness and self-esteem the highest priorities in her recommendations. We are truly, forever grateful.
With admission officers being pulled in a thousand different directions and conferences being both costly in terms of time and money, I was thrilled to be able to offer my staff this incredible professional growth opportunity right here at Proctor. Caryl tailored her webinars to our specific needs and was extremely flexible about how to best present to our team. She is a patient and responsive teacher. I would recommend this webinar series to any admissions office.
You were so awesome at Longshore, Caryl. Thank you for your fabulous presentation. Audrey and I heard more raves about you at Eagle Hill Hardwick today. Keep on truckin’ – you rock!
Embarking on my CogMed journey with Ted was one of the best decisions of my life. Ted was with me every step of the way and always provided me with encouragement and support. Ted would take the time to talk about strategies, including breathing techniques so I could reach my maximum potential. He was always genuine and continuously went the extra step to make sure I maintained a positive mindset. I noticed definite results, not only on the CogMed program, but in my daily activities. I started this journey at the same time that I began studying for the Bar Exam. I realized I was memorizing dense material a lot faster; my thoughts were organized and I had more confidence in myself. Family and friends even noticed a difference in my word retrieval and my ability to explain complex material. Ted taught me techniques to improve my cognitive functions, but he also taught me the power of the mind and the ability to reach one’s maximum potential. I will forever be grateful for all the time, encouragement and techniques that Ted provided me with.
I have spent the last few months working with Ted and doing cognitive training to improve and strengthen my brain. I have had a lot of concussions and tried lots of different things to help improve my mental capacity and get rid of the brain fog that was daily. Nothing has helped to the level that Ted and the cognitive training has. After only a few months of training, my memory, spatial awareness, focus, and overall mental well-being has increased almost to the point where I was before my concussions. I can’t thank Ted enough for all the help and support that he showed through the training and I am truly blessed to have been recommended to him.
Alicia Piselli has been fundamental to my son’s academic growth and success. Her organized and thoughtful approach to executive function coaching has truly transformed my son’s academic performance. As a parent, I appreciate how Alicia has built trust with me through open communication and with my son who feels supported and confident under her guidance.
Alicia Piselli has helped my daughter in countless ways. She asks thoughtful and engaging questions that make my daughter feel comfortable and valued. She is warm, welcoming and approachable. Alicia established a rapport with my daughter very quickly and a trust and a bond was formed. She guides her through her work in a gentle, but intentional way so she is successful, and her confidence is raised without judgement. Alicia is gifted with teenagers with alternative learning styles. I am so grateful to Alicia.
Erica was the perfect coach for our daughter who connected with her on all counts. Erica was also very honest and helpful to us as well. She’s terrific.
Erica is kind, warm and empathetic. More importantly she is skilled at imparting information as it relates to social skills. My child is very happy with everything she has learned thus far.
This 14-week program was truly some of the best money we have spent. We did not enter this program lightly but really felt like we needed to provide some additional support to our son prior to leaving for college. Erica was prompt, clear, empathetic and a wonderful coach for our son and for me as a parent. Our son exited the program with a new set of skills. We now have a new set of shared vocabulary surrounding social skills and executive functioning that has been incredibly helpful. We watched his confidence increase; he went to prom, and he is much more prepared for college. I felt incredibly supported as a parent and learned a lot along the way. Thank you, Erica! We are truly so grateful.
Our daughter is much more confident in her ability to join conversations. She felt comfortable with Christina even when discussing social topics that are somewhat embarrassing like bullying. Christina worked with our daughter on aspects of her life that were causing a lot of anxiety. Honestly, there is only so much a mother can tell her child. I am very pleased with the results. She is much more self-assured because of the explicit lessons on conversational/social skills. Christina was very flexible and understanding when it came to our schedule and family’s needs. We may engage in more of this Social Learning Program in the future if Chloe needs a refresher to help navigate through her preteen/teen years. Our entire family is very appreciative for the time and efforts provided. Thank you, Christina!
Christina was able to connect and find a way to communicate with my 14 year old daughter (she loves her). My teen didn’t understand life and how things worked. She was lost in conversations, had zero understanding of how to start a conversation or what was appropriate and felt anxiety. She was unable to communicate her feelings to us and struggled with friendships. To top it all off she is learning disabled and has trouble processing simple information and instructions. Christina went the extra step and worked with my daughters Social Worker at school to figure out ways to better understand her needs and patterns of behaviors. We’re a few months into the program and I have seen very positive and noticeable changes, and she has friends! Thanks Christina!!
We had a wonderful experience with Christina! Our 7-year-old son with autism learned to apply the social rules he needed to better navigate relationships with peers. Christina helped him learn in a kind, sensitive, and caring way. She also helped him learn new ways to cope with big emotions. She was always responsive and thoughtful when we had a question, and our son is happy whenever he gets to see her. Thank you, Christina!
Christina was wonderful. My 7-year-old son on the spectrum adored her and learned so much about how and why to behave with peers. She has been a wonderful resource!
What an absolute relief!! Since my son has worked with Andrea, he has grown in leaps and bounds. Andrea has also been a major support for me as well! He and Andrea have a really good rapport. He proclaimed 'She’s the one , mom, the one who knows how to help me.' That says it all!
It was really good. Andrea helped me out a lot with my work, study habits, organization, decoding and more. I’m going to try on my own for a little bit to see how far I can go on my own now that I’ve met with her many times and developed my skills more.
All seems to be progressing well, small changes leading to better overall functioning, less anxiety and more productivity are the goals being addressed. Looking forward to continued improvement.
With Liz's help and guidance, I have come leaps and bounds academically. Before I started meeting with Liz, I never took notes in class, wrote my assignments in a planner, or studied for tests and quizzes properly. Over the course of two years, I have sharpened these three important skills and my improvement in grades is a testament to this. I owe all these academic improvements to Liz's skill as an executive functions coach.
Frankenberger Associates couldn’t have found us a better executive function coach for my son with processing disorder, ADHD, and Asperger traits. Stacey is kind, a good listener, and a wonderful communicator of social and emotional concepts to children. We have watched him mature before our eyes, try new challenges, and learn to take more responsibility for his actions. His social life and grades were significantly enhanced. Stacey also could not have made this process easier on us parents. She is responsive, organized and has great ideas. She took my initiatives and got my son to cooperate with them and make them his own. We highly recommend her.
Stacey’s coaching was everything my daughter and I had hoped for when signing up for services with Frankenberger Associates! We especially appreciated her warm, encouraging personality, and my daughter always felt inspired and eager to apply what she learned after her sessions with Stacey because of Stacey’s knowledge, positivity, and encouragement. As a parent, I also appreciated Stacey’s ability to recall details of previous conversations, as well as her ability to clearly articulate exactly what my daughter was learning at any given time through the program and how she was progressing, and her interest in making sure that she was incorporating plenty of practice with specific skills that my daughter and I viewed as priorities helped the sessions be appropriately tailored to my daughter’s specific needs. Both my daughter and I will miss working with Stacey, but we are thrilled with my daughter’s progress and are confident that the many skills she learned and improved upon in this program will serve her well for the rest of her life!
I just wanted to touch base and let you know that my daughter and I are both loving working with Stacey. She is everything we had hoped for in a social learning coach when we signed up with Frankenberger Associates, and we couldn’t be happier with her services and my daughter’s progress!
I want to thank you both sincerely for taking the time to talk to me. It was so encouraging to learn more about the positive influence that Andrea is having on my student’s academic experience. Excitingly, just a few days after we spoke, her advisor sent her mother a very upbeat progress report. This new sense of optimism is a testament to Andrea’s expertise and guidance. Please convey my heartfelt thanks to Andrea for being such a steadfast ally for this student. I am also grateful to both of you for your collaborative spirit. With such a dedicated team behind her, I am hopeful that she will continue on this upward trajectory as she continues her educational journey
Thank you for this great update! We see a huge difference in our daughter’s confidence in approaching written assignments this year. We also see her eagerly asking for help from teachers or the math lab, something she was previously reluctant to do. Her class load and overall schedule are a lot of work but she seems confident that she has the strategies; some days she’s not sure she has enough hours.
Jennifer, thank you for providing these regular updates on our son’s progress. They are so great to read. Having read his recent report card, it is incredible to see the strides that he has made with your guidance.
A huge benefit to my son. He is learning and has connected to Jennifer.
Caroline has been great because she gets excited about the work that she is helping you with. She also will make sure that you check in with yourself to make sure you celebrate small victories and make sure you are taking care of yourself. It’s not always about the work you do but also making sure you are being mindful towards yourself.
I am beyond grateful for all that Caroline has helped my son with. He is a new student this year and although he still struggles at times, he is 100% more organized, trusting of building a plan and better at sticking to it. The confidence he has shown because he is learning to be independently successful is invaluable. He knows he can go to his resources like Caroline and get the exact help he needs to be successful. I could not be happier with her work with him. Thank you so very much.
My son is doing AMAZING. Thank you again. I feel so blessed to have you helping my son build the skills he needs to manage his ADHD, anxiety and organizational skills. Hearing him tell people “I even have a calendar now” was really amazing and funny over the holiday break.
I just want to thank you for all you do with my son. You have been instrumental in his success and we could not have gotten him through his college degree without you. In the home stretch now! Thank you for working on Linked-In with him. He has such a bright future and we appreciate you so much.
Caroline has changed my life :) I’ve never been so organized and on top of my studies in my life.

Kristen, thanks so much for this update! I shared it with my husband and we’re both very pleased with the work you are doing with our son. We see him making more effort to improve and also showing greater awareness about his behavior. So, thank you again for all of your help!

Just wanted to let you know that I appreciated your help over my first semester!! Haven’t stopped using Google Calendar since you’ve introduced it to me and it is probably one of the most helpful things I have ever utilized. Writing everything down at this point has been a lifesaver, especially with the amount of stuff I am doing. Just thought to mention it and wanted to let you know that I appreciate you, Jessica!! Take care!!
Thank you so much for setting my husband up with such a fantastic coach! I have observed his organization, task initiation, and vulnerability increase exponentially. The classes have been so helpful, and he told me tonight that he will be signing up for more sessions. He is starting a new job and wants to make sure he does not fall into the same habits that have hindered his success before.
My experience with my coach and executive function coaching as a whole has been life changing. Coaching has altered various facets of my daily life, from my morning routine to strategies aiding productivity at school, and a much needed introduction to self-care practices like yoga and meditation. Further, my coach has opened my eyes to the world where negativity does not rule my life. I am now able to recognize my thoughts and actions and reframe them into a more positive outlook. With the guidance of my coach, I have been actively combatting my dependency on extra stimuli that my brain craves, for example my phone. With my coaches assistance I am currently limiting my online time by incrementally weaning myself off with a plan custom to me.
You have been an incredible resource for my son these past two years. I can’t believe how much he has learned and how much his confidence has grown. Thank you for being so kind and such a good teacher.
My child received a 5 on her AP Gov’t exam! She is beyond excited and so am I. It’s been a journey and you were instrumental in getting her through that class. Your services have been invaluable!
Attending Caryl Frankenberger's pre-conference workshop on "Interpreting Psychoeducational Test Scores," at my first IECA Conference, was the single-most impactful session for me as a new IEC! Specializing in higher education planning with neurodivergent students requires the determination of student college readiness, which comes from careful discernment of student strengths and challenges. Caryl masterfully facilitates the professional competencies of educators, so that we can then empower our students to thrive in higher education. The hallmarks of Caryl's practice are the continual pivots to offer innovative services provided by the highest caliber professionals, which meet the ever-evolving needs of professionals in our industry and of the neurodivergent students and families that we serve. She is a compassionate and dynamic mentor and colleague that I have come to rely on for input on difficult cases. Always an inspiration, Caryl Frankenberger is one-of-a-kind!
Frankenberger Associates has been an invaluable resource for North Country School over the years. Recently, Caryl and her team gave an amazing two day presentation to our faculty on incorporating various compensatory strategies in their teaching for students diagnosed with ADHD, anxiety, and language based learning disabilities. For our new faculty, this was a Master class on how to work with a neurodiverse population. Additionally, we have leaned on Frankenberger Associates for neuropsychological evaluations, tutoring, Social Learning, and Brain Training. In each instance, we have been so impressed, not only with the level of professionalism, but Caryl and her team's timely response. We feel so fortunate to have such a knowledgeable group of professionals at our fingertips.
I am thrilled to share my experience after receiving my certificate from Frankenberger Associates in Understanding Diverse Learning Profiles. This course has truly transformed my approach to working with prospective and current families, as well as lower and middle school faculty, learning support staff, and administration. The valuable tools and insights I gained have deepened my understanding of diverse learning profiles, allowing me to speak confidently and knowledgeably about my candidates. This has fostered trust and collaboration within our community, making a significant impact on our partnerships. I wholeheartedly recommend this course to admission professionals and anyone involved in supporting students. The knowledge you’ll gain is not just beneficial; it’s essential for creating an inclusive and supportive educational environment.

The workshops that Frankenberger Associates have provided to our entire faculty and individual teachers has strengthened the professional skills and knowledge of the educators at Woodhall. Connecting theory and practice with an appealing mix of lucidity and common sense, Caryl and her colleagues engaged with our school community in a way that is accessible and applicable.
Eagle Hill School and I personally have worked with Frankenberger Associates for over twenty years, and I have enjoyed and benefited greatly from our incredibly long and strong relationship. Caryl Frankenberger is a trusted and knowledgeable colleague and friend. Many years ago, Caryl gave a presentation to the EHS faculty on cognitive testing, and to this day, I am grateful to Caryl for this presentation. I have worked with Caryl and have likely read more than 100 of her evaluations in considering her clients for EHS. Caryl’s evaluations are well-written and help the reader to get a good sense of the student. Frankenberger Associates is a remarkable and helpful resource for families and educators alike. Thank you, Caryl, for your steadfast work and your loyalty and kindness to families and educators.
I have had the pleasure of learning from Caryl Frankenberger for almost fifteen years, witnessing firsthand her expertise and unwavering commitment to neurodiverse learners. Caryl has the ability to make complex concepts about learning and cognitive development accessible—a skill I first observed in 2010 during one of her presentations, where she captivated a packed auditorium of educators with ease. Her work has left a lasting impact on me and countless others, empowering students, families, and professionals with the tools and understanding they need to thrive in their strengths.
The combination of brain training and executive functioning support that Frankenberger Associates and Oxford Academy have collaborated on over the years has always been a resounding success. Caryl and her team are experts in helping students see major improvements in focus, organization, and memory, making daily tasks and long-term goals feel so much more manageable. I can’t recommend them enough for anyone wanting to strengthen cognitive skills and executive functioning!

I am so happy I took the 6 module Understanding Diverse Learning Profile course. I am an Executive Assistant working at Frankenberger Associates and I wanted to take the course to better understand FA’s services. The course was outstanding. From the perspective of someone who is a parent, and not an educator, I gained an enormous amount of knowledge about executive functioning, social skills, evaluation and brain training. I learned about the intricacies of understanding student learning profiles and I loved the videos about working memory, processing speed, ADHD and Dyslexia. Learning about the brain was fascinating and I left the course with a much richer understanding of the neurodiverse learner. I highly recommend this course to parents who want to understand more about how their child learns and to anyone who is entering the field of education.
I cannot say enough positive things about Frankenberger Associates, specifically Erica Hocking. Our college age child turned to us for support in the social skills area. An area that honestly all of us could use some training... The life skills and executive functioning skill set that are being worked on are paramount to success in life. These basic fundamental skills are not easy for all, and Erica has the compassion, patience and knowledge to help our child to help themselves and navigate this important time in their life. This work is ongoing and we are very happy with the progress and the connection our child has made with Erica.
Thank you so much Kristen! We are so appreciative of you and so thankful we found Frankenberger Associates. We are definitely seeing improvements in his anger managing stress. Getting insight from what you are working on with him and his awareness of his blind spots and all the other things you have worked on with him is wonderful. I do not think he would have made it all semester without your help.
My son’s work with Brittany was definitely beneficial and he learned stress relief techniques, taking another’s perspective - especially understanding how others perceive him , how to continue a conversation and setting up a group outing as well as working on job skills, interviewing and his resume. Brittany took the time to meet him where he was and quickly got to know him. It was encouraging to see how quickly he felt comfortable with her and felt free to open up with her about his strengths and where he needed help. I hope he will jump back in for some sessions with her in the future.
Truthfully, we are so impressed with everything Allie and my son were able to accomplish. It was clear to me very early on that she understood him as a learner and thinker. Allie’s approach made him feel both safe and confident so that he could put in the hard work. He is happier at school pick up, getting invited to more things and seems generally more at ease.
I wanted to reach out to let you know that today we received a lovely letter from our son’s teacher commending him on being chosen as a student of the month. We are so proud of him, and also so grateful for the work that you did with him over the summer and at the beginning of the year to set him up for what has been his best school year! He has become more confident in who he is, and has used that to both broaden his friend network and stand up for himself. Thank you Margo.
We loved our experience. Allie was our coach and she was amazing. I was unsure about how my son would do in the virtual environment because we had tried that before and it didn’t go well. Allie made an instant connection with him and he never fought me to attend the sessions. It was work and he was tired after the sessions but he saw the value and was able to implement the strategies that Allie taught him. Allie did a great job of setting goals for him and then communicating the goals with me. She always debriefed with my son which was great because he doesn’t always want to do that with me and then she was able to communicate with me what they discussed. We found our time with FA valuable and we are hopeful that our son will continue to implement the strategies he has learned.
My daughter came into her own with Erica’s guidance and now has the tools to communicate and advocate for herself. And to not beat herself up if there are negative results.
My fifteen year old just completed his first session with Brittany. He has become more confident in social situations, and he has grown considerably in his ability to initiate and maintain conversations. This program is a gift that will continue giving. It is well-worth the investment.
One thing I very much liked as a parent were the check ins Brittany had with me every 2 weeks. She was able to give me an overview of what occurred in the last session and I could share my observations, concerns or questions.
Christina is such a kind, warm person. For a child that is slow to warm up and needs a trustworthy person to open up to, she was the exact right fit. Thank you for placing our daughter with Christina. We even broached some topics outside or on the fringes of social communications such as honesty. She is wonderful!
Brittany was a great coach/mentor. My son grew tremendously working with her. He has more confidence going into social situations and sets up times to hang out with his friends.
Christina has been wonderful for our son. She listened to both him and me and tailored her sessions with him perfectly. Christina is kind, warm, empathetic, but tough when she needs to be. Our son learned so much from her, and it is one of the main reasons he is doing so well now.
I genuinely didn’t know what to put for the areas I wish we could have learned more as I have zero complaints. We gained so much. Truly, Christina was a key part of the transformation we have seen in our home just because our son is now confident, has a secure sense of self and can see other people’s perspectives.
Brittany Pray was fantastic to work with and was the perfect person to work with my daughter. We love her!
My student, while a relatively new client of Frankenberger Associates, is already finding work with his coach to be helpful and effective.
I have had the tremendous pleasure of working closely with Caryl Frankenberger of Frankenberger Associates over the past six years, and I can say with confidence that she is a remarkable professional. She has been especially helpful working with my students who have executive functioning needs. Her expertise, dedication, and genuine care for students are evident in every interaction. We have often referred students to her, knowing they would be in capable hands and receive the support they need to succeed. Caryl's commitment to excellence and her personalized approach make her a trusted partner. I highly recommend Frankenberger Associates to anyone seeking expert guidance and dedicated support.
Christina connected with my daughter right away and made her feel both comfortable and understood. She has a calm and steady demeanor that increased the impact and effectiveness of the curriculum. Christina is also responsive to my daughter’s questions outside of their set meeting times. Overall, a very positive experience.
Caryl Frankenberger and her associates certainly go the extra mile for all parents and students that they work with. She has educated me about learning differences and how we all learn differently. Especially when reading a Neuropsychological Evaluation that Caryl has written. She has also worked well with matching tutors for life skills, executive functioning, academic tutoring, assessments, evaluations, and recognizing strengths and weaknesses in each student she works with, as well as her associates. As a professional Caryl Frankenberger is a leader in this very important profession and as the Executive Director of Frankenberger Associates Learning Solutions Center, she is the person to assist you and your family with your child's educational profile.
My daughter has been working with Allie in the social skills program. From the moment they had their first conversation, Allie was able to form a great connection, which allowed for being able to build trust almost immediately and allowed for a safe environment to be able to have honest and open conversations. I have seen my daughter grow so much since she began working with Allie. It is obvious that she truly cares about her clients. Working with her has been a wonderful experience for both my daughter and myself.
Working with Frankenberger Associates and particularly with Allie Lawrence has been a gift to our whole family. Allie started working with our son who has significant ADHD and EF challenges this past spring and is helping him as he transitions to college life this fall. At every meeting, Allie meets him right where he is: she is kind, warm, thoughtful, intelligent, caring, and while we feel his resistance from time to time, he adores Allie and knows she is steadfastly in his corner as a mentor, coach and with her unbelievable patience and care, he is marching ever forward to adulthood with concrete skills and growing confidence. We love Allie so much, we mentioned her gifts to our 21-year old daughter (a senior in college) and she immediately said, "I want to work with her too!" She now meets with Allie weekly to work both on assuring her academic successes, identifying and meeting challenges at university, motivation and organization struggles, and together they are plotting out next steps for her post college-life/career path. All this is to say, Allie has given my husband and I a chance to step back from a parent/child dynamic of advising that is not always appreciated so that we can focus more on supporting and loving and holding without chronic advising or getting to heavily in their business. We are so grateful to what she gives our family. Everybody deserves an Allie in their life. She is amazing beyond belief.
Jennifer Frost has been an extension of my son’s success journey. When they first started working together Jennifer understood the importance of building trust and connection…from there a beautiful bond was built. She has helped my son for years now and I feel she has taught him tools to regulate anxieties, process information, advocate for himself and believe in himself. She has worked on organizational skills, reading comprehension and many more crucial skills to set him up for success in school and beyond. I am forever grateful to have her in my son’s corner….and mine…it takes a village.
Andrea is an amazing executive functioning coach who has transformed my son’s study habits. She is also great about communicating with me and my son’s teachers to keep me up to date and ensure that my son is applying the skills he learns. Highly recommend.
Jen and the whole team at Frankenberger Associates have been wonderful to work with. She keeps the kids engaged in the work and has helped to progress their learning. She is flexible and has even been a huge support to me. I am forever grateful to her knowledge, kindness and support. I know that the additional tutoring has helped my children.
As an artist and a dreamer, I am consistently overloading my brain. I've struggled for a long time to find the strategies that help me move forward with my goals. I've worked with Caroline Hopenwasser for just over a year now, and she gives me tools that promote action in my life because she cares to understand who I am and what I need. My mindset has shifted dramatically, and I feel more empowered to reach all of my goals. I have found that my anxiety and stress levels have been relieved because of the work I have done. She helps me reframe the situations in my life so that I don't collapse into being overwhelmed. Every single session I have sparks the motivational energy I need to get things done. I never feel judged and always feel inspired. Caroline is a lovely human, and I'm so grateful to do this work with her.
My college kid just finished his second 10-week session with Brittany and we are very happy with the outcomes. The first round of sessions was more social skills and PEERS related and the second included topics he helped choose such as: work relationships, time management, interview prep, work/life balance, etc. Brittany was quick to understand his needs and how best to work with him. Both of us saw differences in how he handled social encounters and his time. This semester is a stressful one and he needs to fully concentrate on his studies, but I feel he will most likely want to work with Brittany again in the future to learn and apply new skills and ways of approaching work, school and relationships. One thing I very much liked as a parent were the check ins Brittany had with me every 2 weeks. She was able to give me an overview of what occurred in the last session and I could share my observations, concerns or questions. I'd like to add that Caryl Frankenberger was very easy to talk to about our needs and the services offered at Frankenberger. She was quick to respond to my inquiries before and after signing up for a our first 10 week session. I would definitely choose to go to Frankenberger again.
Excellent EF coaching by Caroline. She’s deeply attuned, insightful, helpful, and kind.
Christina was terrific with Josh! He made tremendous improvements in emotional regulation and comfort navigating social situations and conversation. His school year is off to a strong start. Josh and I agree that his time with Christina and work at home were valuable. We definitely want to sign up for another session to review these foundational topics and add other social skills. Please reach out when an after school space opens up. We would like to come back in the winter and/or summer.

This was a great experience overall. Christina was approachable and appeared to build trust with our daughter as they worked through the program of exercises. Our daughter was maybe a little reluctant going in but a rapport was fostered and she grew throughout the experience. Thanks!
I have had the privilege of working with Caryl Frankenberger, EdM, for numerous years and can say with confidence that her expertise and dedication to the field of education are exceptional. From her early work in Maryanne Wolf’s lab at Harvard, to her hands-on experience in the classroom, and later as Head of a boys’ boarding school in VT, Caryl consistently demonstrates a rare ability to integrate evidence-based practices with practical, real-world applications. Caryl founded Frankenberger Associates, which distinguishes itself by its commitment to building strong, collaborative relationships with families, educators, and related professionals. Caryl's deep passion for students and learning is evident in every conversation, and her team brings the same level of warmth and professionalism to each interaction. Caryl’s generosity and professionalism set her apart, and this is further reflected in her team’s approach, which ensures that every child and family feels seen, heard, and supported throughout the process. Because of the quality, integrity, and individualized care they provide, I refer to Frankenberger Associates with complete confidence. I know that any student or family I refer to them will receive the expert, compassionate support they need. I wholeheartedly recommend Caryl and her team to anyone seeking thoughtful and effective educational services. It is an honor to collaborate with someone so passionately invested in helping students thrive, both academically and personally.
Our work with Literacy Coach Jen Frost quickly evolved to a dual role of Literacy Coach and Executive Coach relationship because Jen was so much more than just a literacy coach. She was an invaluable support that I can't imagine not having in our life. So much so she has transitioned to a role supporting from afar while in college! She was readily available when needed and offered great ideas, suggestions and compassion. She has become an instrumental person whose opinion we value!
