Executive Function Coach and Academic Tutor
Kacie Byford, M.S., M.Ed., LPC-Associate, is an Executive Functioning Coach with a multidisciplinary background in clinical mental health counseling, neuroscience, education, kinesiology, and human performance. Her experience as a counselor, educator, mental performance coach, and former collegiate athlete gives her a unique perspective on the relationship between how individuals think, feel, learn, and perform.
Kacie specializes in working with adolescents and young adults to strengthen executive functioning skills including attention, organization, planning, time management, emotional regulation, cognitive flexibility, and follow-through. She has particular experience supporting individuals with ADHD, anxiety, perfectionism, and high-performance demands.
Her approach combines evidence-informed strategies, neuroscience-based education, and practical skill development to help clients understand not only what strategies to use, but why they work. Kacie believes meaningful growth happens when individuals better understand their own brains, recognize their strengths, and develop tools that work for them, not simply when they are taught to work harder.
Kacie holds master’s degrees in Kinesiology and Clinical Mental Health Counseling and is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate in Texas. She also holds advanced training and certifications in mental performance, neuroscience, trauma-informed care, and Brainspotting.
Outside of work, Kacie enjoys spending time with family, watching sports, playing the drums, and hanging out with Nike, her Pomeranian and emotional support sidekick. She’s a former collegiate athlete, still slightly too competitive, and loves finding reasons to laugh and not take life too seriously.
