Executive Function Coach

Part-Time with Pathway to Full Time

Job Description

Overview

Frankenberger Associates is a growing, research-informed practice providing executive function (EF) coaching to adolescents, college students, and adults. We partner with clients to build practical systems, habits, and skills that support follow-through, self-regulation, and confidence across academic, professional, and personal contexts.

This role is designed to begin as a part-time position, with the expectation of growth to a full-time role over approximately 1-3 months, as a client roster is built and program needs expand. We are seeking a coach who is interested in a longer-term role with Frankenberger Associates and who is able and willing to increase availability over time as demand supports it.

Role Summary

The Executive Function Coach provides one-on-one virtual coaching using a strengths-based, individualized approach. Coaching focuses on helping clients develop skills related to planning, organization, task initiation, time management, self-monitoring, emotional regulation, and goal-setting, using the client’s real-life demands as the primary coaching context. Academic tasks may be used as practice contexts, but the focus is on executive functioning, independence, and skill transfer.

Key Responsibilities

Direct Coaching

  • Provide 1:1 virtual executive function coaching to a consistent client roster.
  • Use clients’ real-world responsibilities (school, work, extracurriculars, daily routines) as the foundation for coaching work.
  • Support clients in developing systems, strategies, and habits that improve follow-through and self-efficacy.
  • Adapt coaching approaches to meet the developmental needs of adolescents, college students, and adults.

Planning & Documentation

  • Prepare for sessions and complete session notes and documentation within required timelines.
  • Track client progress and adjust coaching plans based on observed needs and goals.
  • Use Frankenberger Associates’ digital systems and platforms consistently and accurately.

Program & Practice Support (as hours increase)

  • Support the development or refinement of tools, resources, or internal systems.
  • Participate in project-based work that strengthens the EF program and supports growth and retention.
  • Engage in ongoing learning related to executive function, coaching practice, and client engagement.

Time Commitment & Growth Pathway

  • Initial role begins part-time, with hours increasing gradually as a client roster is built.
  • This position is intended to grow toward full-time (approximately 40 hours/week) over time, contingent on client demand, performance, and mutual fit.
  • Candidates must be able and willing to increase availability, including maintaining consistent weekly hours and expanding client-facing time.
  • Flexibility required, with at least two evenings per week of client availability.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in education, psychology, counseling, coaching, or a closely related field required.
  • Prior experience in executive function coaching, education, counseling, or related support roles strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of executive function skills and the ability to model these skills in practice.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with clients and families.
  • Ability to manage multiple clients, priorities, and deadlines with consistency.
  • Comfort with technology and virtual coaching platforms.
  • Experience with documentation and digital record-keeping systems.

Work Environment

  • Remote position
  • Reports to the Director of the Executive Function Program.
  • Collaborative, supportive team environment with a strong emphasis on professional growth.
